Qualified Staffing has partnered with a reputable, local company looking to add great talent to their team. They are currently seeking Machine Operators to help manufacture fasteners for both 1st shift and 2nd shift.
Position Overview
The Machine Operator will maintain continuous improvement in quality and productivity, focus on the job and be a self-motivated problem solver who is mechanically inclined.
Must be able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
Responsibilities and duties
- Set up and monitor machines
- Perform quality checks during production runs to ensure the machine is working as intended
- Run production and monitor machine to meet daily goals and resolve issues that could impact production quotas and timelines
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
- Manually pack fasteners into containers and ensure each package is labeled correctly
- Complete required paperwork as needed for a given job on a press
Education and skills required
- High School Diploma
- 2-3 years minimum of stable experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Experience in machine operation
- Ability to work with and use hand tools
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Welding skills are a plus
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Saturday and Sunday as needed for OT
17 to 18 per hr. Contract to Hire positions
