General Summary
The Sr. Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst supports and maintains the HRIS and performance management systems to maximize the effectiveness of WSSC Water’s business operations.
Ensures data integrity and accuracy of employee and organizational information, creates reports and test plans, and supports HRIS and PMP+ system upgrades, as well as new module functionality implementation. Essential Functions
- Acts as a subject matter expert with regard to upgrades, testing, and processing data
- Ensures data integrity and accuracy of employee and organization information through periodic reviews and audits
- Provides support on various strategic and operational HR projects, including system upgrades, implementation of new solutions, patches, and interface changes
- Participates in the change control process for changes to HRIS / PMP systems and other interfaces including development of requirements, change management, and UAT / QA testing
- Makes system user modifications to meet business user needs
- Partners with IT to define requirements for development changes to the HRIS
- Partners with IT to set up new or modify existing integrations to downstream systems and test for proper functioning
- Evaluates existing processes periodically to find efficiencies utilizing system capabilities
- Creates and runs reports essential to managing WSSC Water’s human resources
- Participates in testing following established testing protocols and appropriate testing tools
- Evaluates PMP+ releases to determine if any new or changing features will impact or enhance existing business processes
- Serves as the HR Office business partner to IT
- Creates test scenarios for system changes and assists other teams in the HRO
- Administers the PMP+ system, including preparing templates for each performance management cycle; scheduling and preparing form launches;
creating, updating, and modifying formulas within the Compensation Module to calculate merit increases
- Collaborates with Payroll as needed to ensure integrity of the payroll data as it relates to new hires, promotions / transfers, terminations, and organization changes
- Collaborates with other HRO teams when changes are made to Codes and Standard Procedures to ensure HRO systems reflect the changes as expected / intended (e.
g. collaborating with ELR when there are changes to the Performance Management SP)
- Collaborates with other teams to support the administration of the Maryland Safe & Sick Leave Law
- Performs all tasks and job functions in compliance with regulatory requirements
Other Functions
- Develops and documents processes and procedures
- Participates in planning and implementation of applying pay changes related to COLA , performance, and skills enhancement
- Implements annual processes such as Leave Carryover and Sick Leave Bank
- Processes the Advanced Sick Leave paybacks each pay period
- Researches issues such as discrepancies in employee data records pertaining to leave balances, pay records, and higher class pay
- Uses testing scenarios and documentation to complete timely test cases
- Performs related duties as required

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience supporting and maintaining an enterprise-wide HRIS through system integrations, resolving system problems, researching issues, analyzing data, interpreting information;
providing direction, guidance, and instruction related to HRIS functionalities
High school diploma (or equivalent) and 9+ years’ experience supporting and maintaining an enterprise-wide HRIS through system integrations, resolving system problems, researching issues, analyzing data, interpreting information;
providing direction, guidance, and instruction related to HRIS functionalities
Additional Requirements Completion of the WSSC Water Financial Disclosure statement within 30 days of employment and annually thereafter Preferences
- Experience working with Oracle EBS
- Experience working with Success Factors PMP+
- Certification as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
Salary $76,181 - $129,507
