Engineering Supervisor (Substation - R&C)

LCRA’s Substation Engineering department is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to join the Relay & Control team. As part of the team, your expertise will contribute to design, operate and build the crucial electrical infrastructure of Central Texas in an organization that strives to enhance the quality of life of Texans we serve.

We are looking for someone who has vast experience on R&C design principals for Schematics, Relay One Lines, AC / DC Systems and SCADA.

In addition, a supervisor that is engaging, collaborative and has excellent mentoring skills to lead a great team of engineers and designers.

You will be trusted to :

Provides leadership and direction to staff. Hires, trains, promotes, assigns work, evaluates and

manages performance and handles all aspects of staff supervision.

• Supervise the design and implementation of Schematics, Relay One Lines, Tripping and Close schemes, Substations Configurations
• Conducts and takes full responsibility for complex engineering studies
• Review and Seal designs
• Train and mentor designers and engineers
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications for field personnel
• Support the scoping efforts by reviewing preliminary engineering documents
• Support reviews for projects designed by Engineering Consultants

You qualify with :

• Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus six or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering / design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas for all departments except Telecommunications Engineering
• Driver's license

range : $141,000- $175,500 per year.

This pay range represents a general target and is not reflective of the full pay range. Offers to selected candidates are contingent upon various factors such as skills, experience and education.
