The Secretaryof Financial Aid will provide support and organizational servicesfor the office of Financial Aid through the Director of FinancialAid.
This position will manage departmental budgets correspondenceand scheduling of various events. The Secretary of Financial Aidwill interact with students and the general public by providinginformation and directions as needed.
EssentialFunctions
Maintain personnel documents payroll activitiestime sheets and transmittals
Maintain inventory of officeequipment and supplies including maintain office equipment andcomputer inventory records
Maintain department fixedassets
Prepare help desk tickets for thedepartment
Maintains and monitors budgetspreadsheet
Responsible for all Financial Aid staff travelarrangements (i.e. hotel travel reservations)
Responsiblefor collection of travelers receipts to include properreconciliation with purchasing
Prepare requisitions forthe department
Collect weekly leave sheets verify datacopy and submit to Director
Maintain departmentalcalendar
Prepare suspension review documents and schedulesuspension review committee meetings
Prepare paymentauthorization requisition for outside scholarship return offunds
Prepare FedEx labels and envelopes for overnightmailings
Assist Financial Aid office asneeded
Other duties as assigned

RequiredQualifications
High School diploma orequivalent
Two years of secretarial / general officeexperience
Excellent communication and public relationskills
Excellent customer service skills
Strongorganizational skills
Data entryexperience
Computer literacy with proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
Knowledgeof general office equipment to include copier fax machine andmultiline telephone
