The Director, Restaurant Technology must be a hands-on leader and is responsible for collaborating, driving, and creating the IT strategy for IHOP, Applebee's, and Fuzzy's Taco Shop.
They will lead and direct the activities of a team that delivers technology solutions across restaurant brands. The Director will manage a team of engineers and vendor partners to design, develop, and deliver innovative IT solutions, and they will ensure that projects are delivered with high quality.
This is a critical and exciting role within IT to deliver innovation that produces business results.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and contribute to development of long-range technology solutions roadmap, and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs and all technology solutions are aligned with the Dine Brands business strategy multi-year investment / capital plans and asset creation.
- Establish and maintain IT development and innovation lab.
- Manage an engineering team of 10-15 resources. Responsible for performance reviews and career development.
- Responsible for hardware and software lifecycle management.
- Establish 3rd party vendor partnerships / contracts and management vendor relationships.
- Ensure restaurant technology projects are delivered on-time and on-budget with high quality.
- Work closely with finance and project management teams to manage development projects, define business cases, outline investment criteria, and determine investment priority.
- Work with IT Project Management Organization (PMO), risk, and security teams to ensure compliance and overall governance.
- Base Salary $180,000+
Skills & Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration, or equivalent on-the-job experience
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a business-facing technical role that successfully delivered complex projects and solutions.
- Experience with agile software development and networking.
- Experience leading innovative IT development projects required such as application development, mobile device development, web development, AI, robotics, or IoT experience.
- Proven ability to develop high performing teams.
- Ability to collaborate across organizations.
- Must have vendor management experience. Contract development experience a plus.
- Software Engineering and / or Project Management or scrum certification a plus.
