New Horizon Bank is looking to hire a Deposit Operations Manager to play an integral functional and leadership role on the Deposit Ops team.

This role will oversee the team performing general operations functions including deposits, payments, debit cards and other tasks included in the bank's core systems in compliance with all established policies and procedures.

The Bank is at an exciting inflection point of growth, so this role will assist in establishing the foundational infrastructure to enable the Bank to scale.

  • You have deep knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements including but not limited to, BSA, UDAAP, FACT Act, GLBA, USA Patriot Act and AML.
  • You are excellent at prioritizing, delegating, and meeting deadlines in a team environment
  • You love researching, interpreting, analyzing, and reporting operational data

What You'll Spend Your Time Doing...

  • Executing the daily functions pertaining to ACH Services, Deposit Services, Exception Processing, Wire Transfers, Digital Banking functions, department workflow and ensuring day-to-day functions are accurate, complete and documented as well as provide both technical and professional support.
  • Performing daily activities of back-office branch items processing including incoming and outgoing wires, currency orders, return items, NSF, stop payments, customer notices, non-posted transactions, Bill Pay, ATM transactions, fraud suspect transactions, verification of mobile deposits, verification of remote deposit capture deposits, and other deposit account operations
  • Resolving outstanding items in general ledger
  • Performing research and adjustments
  • Ensuring flawless execution of Wire Transfers, ACH Processing, and Currency Orders
  • Reconciling correspondent bank statements
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Assembling information for external and internal auditors for audits.
  • Assisting with the Bank's year-end reporting requirements including IRS tax reporting.
  • Assisting in special projects, such as year-end audits and regulatory examination preparation.
  • Researching and analyzing problems for customers, branches and departments, relating to the Deposit Operations area and resolve issues promptly

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 6 years previous banking experience, preferably at least 3 years' experience in Deposit Ops
  • Experience leading a team
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Overall understanding and working knowledge of bank operational procedures, compliance, banking and / or audit experience.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State banking regulations as they pertain to operational functions.
  • Basic input, output, error correction, general ledger account structure, and knowledge of electronic funds transfer is highly desired.
