Medical Assistant
Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham's unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally and at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion.
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our specialty onsite, weekdays. This role will predominantly be based out of the following office : 22 Atwood Drive Northampton, MA. However, employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our 3 locations in the Northampton / Amherst area (for training / precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes). The schedule for this position is 4, 10-hour days per week, 7 : 30am to 6 : 00pm with either Wednesday or Thursday off!
As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education / certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team with rotating provider coverage. Responsibilities include :
Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred
Licenses and Credentials : Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience : Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
