The work :
As part of the site’s leadership team ensuring manufacturing equipment is functioning properly with the goal of increasing efficiency you manage approximately 20 hourly employees who will report to you though a Production Supervisor.
Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Rock Hill facility, with primary emphasis on environmental compliance, safety, production and finished goods distribution.
Troubleshoot all processes and operate equipment in a safe and profitable manner.
Support equipment maintenance and reliability efforts.
Lead improvement initiatives for quality, safety, cost savings, and the development of personnel and process efficiency.
Set the standard to develop and train all employees by demonstrating a personal commitment to all aspects of the company’s safety and environment program.
Support engineering project work and provide direction on Capital projects.
Develop and implement an operational expenditure budget.
Provide technical advice to maintenance teams.
Succession planning recruit and provide the training that enables staff to sustain facility objectives.
Applicant background requested :
We are searching for Engineers who have managed Production Teams on sites that handle liquid chemicals.
B.S. Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineer
7+ years of experience in a chemical plant or related, better if 10+ years
From Chemical Manufacturing plants would be ideal but others like plastics processing, compounding, textile fibers, paper manufacturing would also be appropriate.
Must have experience supervising operations and hourly employees, best if 7+ years
- Experience supervising engineers and technical employees
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to foster a team environment and coach employees.
Working knowledge of ERP systems
