Sanofi is recruiting for a laboratory manager 2nd shift leader to support a diverse and growing portfolio of vaccines targeting infectious diseases.
2nd Shift 2 pm - 10 : 30 - Monday - Friday
Will train on 1st Shift for 8 to 12 weeks
This role is accountable for strategic planning and oversight of all clinical testing occurring for the Global Clinical Immunology 2nd shift.
This role will act with minimal on-sight supervision during the majority of their shift but align to the overall goals and standards of the Global Immunology and overall Vaccines R&D groups.
The lab manager drives quality, consistency and compliance and are responsible for managing multiple teams performing clinical testing / support.
This role will be responsible for reporting metrics and milestones and will represent the laboratory as part of the senior leadership of Global Clinical Immunology.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate applicable competencies and behaviors including strategic thinking, commitment to customers, cooperating transversally across multiple functions, and can act for change while continually striving to deliver results.
Must also be able to demonstrate leadership skills, act as a role model to the team(s) and promote good communication and teamwork.
Will be responsible for the quality and integrity of data generated in their assigned area. As required, will assist efforts with the evaluation of new technologies in their area in order to improve upon throughput, precision, accuracy and overall quality of methods their teams employ.
Ensure that corporate, quality, regulatory and safety procedures are always being observed and followed.
About You :
Education / Experience
Specialized degree in biological sciences from an accredited University
B.Sc. + 8 yr experience
M.Sc. + 5yr experience
PhD + 1yr experience
- Previous experience in research and / or laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
- Excellent technical skills, analytical ability, judgment with a strong operational focus.
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical, scientific and communications skills (written / oral).
- Advanced written and verbal skills in English.
- Experience in all of Microsoft including Excel, Word and Team.
