Overview :
We are seeking an Electrical Drafter / Designer to support our client on a multi-year contract opportunity in Norfolk, VA.
Description :
- Responsible for design drawing and coordinating with the engineers to ensure drawings are properly done.
- Create and modify Construction Utility end Electrical shop drawings with AutoCAD application. This includes conduit, supports, anchors, cables, trenching, etc.
- Drawings shall follow construction US / VA applicable standards : Electrical NEC Code, Construction VDOT ( Virginia Department Of Transportation) standard.
- The electrical CAD technician will also assist with weekly planning and create monthly progress reports.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma. (AS Degree preferred)
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D experience.
- Desirable : CAD experience on roadway Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) projects.
Additional Information :
- Long term contract, 3-4+ years.
- Pay Rate : $30-$45 / hr based on experience. (*More experience and / or BS in Engineering and pay rate can go up)
