Position Summary :

The Senior Network Administrator is a senior-level position responsible for the advanced installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our clients' network systems.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor other IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation.
• Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades, including security updates and patches.
• Configure and manage advanced network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to design and implement network solutions for complex projects and initiatives.
• Document network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior network administrators and other IT staff.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
• Manage and resolve network-related issues through a ticketing system.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in network administration.
• Demonstrate a strong drive to achieve advanced professional certifications to further develop expertise and career growth.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network administration.
• Strong knowledge of advanced network protocols, including TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Extensive experience with network hardware such as Cisco, SonicWall, Aruba, or similar.
• Proficiency in advanced network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Solid understanding of advanced network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant advanced certifications such as CCNP, SonicWALL Network Security Professional (SNSP), or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience working with ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
