About The Position

Job Title : Clinical Nurse - Pediatrics Job Specialty : Pediatrics - RN Float Pool Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM (3x12 + additional shift required per month, every other weekend) Guaranteed Hours : 34.

50 Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting; must have PICU and pediatric step-down experience License : Registered Nurse with current registration Certifications : BLS, ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have : Pediatrics experience with competence in area assigned, including NICU, PEDS MS, PEDS Step-down, PCICU Job Description : Deliver patient care by incorporating professional practice models and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and organizational nursing standards.

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs, employing critical thinking skills in patient management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the care plan.- Educate patients and caregivers about their care plan, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Manage assignments within the care delivery model, demonstrating material resource allocation effectively.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, considering their values, preferences, and cultural diversity.
• Use evidence-based practices to improve patients' perceptions of care and initiate service recovery as needed.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement process improvement strategies and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects.
• Utilize institutional information technology for documenting nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives.

This role requires a physical and mental aptitude to care for acutely ill patients with a variety of diagnoses and necessitates proficiency in clinical procedures, data entry, and electronic medical record systems.
