Role Overview : As the Club Leader, you set the gold standard for customer service and lead your team to achieve excellence.

Your key responsibilities include hiring, training, and mentoring staff, ensuring clear communication from the front lines to executives, implementing corporate policies, managing operational expenses, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Relations and Member Retention :

  • Set the tone for staff interactions to maximize member acquisition and retention.
  • Handle member relations transactions, financial transactions, and inquiries.
  • Process payments, update financial information, and manage ancillary services.
  • Address and resolve member complaints and suggestions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM / CMS records and assist in retail sales.
  • Promote new internal and external promotions.

Community Relations :

  • Build community partnerships and engage in charity sponsorships and fundraisers.
  • Promote good corporate citizenship through recycling programs and wellness fairs.

Corporate and Club Policy :

  • Ensure consistent implementation of corporate policies on attendance, time clock manipulation, zero tolerance for harassment, drug and alcohol use, and theft.
  • Develop and enforce club-level policies on tardiness, shift coverage, dress code, and respect for team members.

Staffing :

  • Identify team strengths and opportunities for appropriate staffing solutions.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire sales team members.
  • Train staff on policies, procedures, CRM / CMS, and sales techniques.
  • Oversee payroll, benefit submissions, and performance monitoring.

Sales and Marketing :

  • Manage lead distribution, follow-up, and conversion.
  • Oversee social media management and internal / external marketing efforts.

Operations :

  • Ensure cost-effective and timely execution of business functions.
  • Control inventory, oversee cleaning companies, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Handle daily financial reporting, banking, and payroll management.
  • Maintain facility and equipment, ensuring all are in good working order.

Personal Training and Group Fitness :

  • Align PT and sales team objectives to support sales goals.
  • Oversee PT and group fitness class schedules, payroll, and address member feedback.

Communication and Metrics :

  • Maintain clear communication channels and stay updated on company direction.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings and daily huddles.
  • Track and analyze key metrics to ensure consistency and success.

Requirements :

  • Leadership Skills : Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team, with a focus on developing and mentoring staff.
  • Customer Service Excellence : Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and handle member relations effectively.
  • Strong Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and prompt information flow between all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational Skills : Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Business Acumen : Understanding of financial management, including budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting.
  • Sales and Marketing Experience : Experience in sales, marketing, and lead generation, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities : Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Operational Management : Experience in managing operations, including inventory control, vendor management, and facility maintenance.
  • Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with CRM / CMS systems and basic office software (e.g., MS Office).
  • Fitness Industry Knowledge : Knowledge of the fitness industry and trends, with a passion for health and wellness.
  • Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively with team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Professionalism : High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility : Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in business management, sports management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications : CPT certification or exercise science degree required.
  • Bilingual : Spanish speaking is a major plus.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within the fitness or hospitality industry.

  • Maintain a client churn rate below 3% and achieve 20% upsell of new members.
  • High team morale and a clean, well-maintained facility.
