Job Summary
At McGill Hose & Coupling, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Route Sales Representative.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and selling products directly to customers on assigned routes. You will build relationships with existing customers, upsell products, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Delivering and selling products to established customers on assigned routes.
- Developing relationships with customers and understanding their needs.
- Upselling additional products and services to increase sales volume.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and efficient service.
- Conduct engaging product presentation and demonstrations.
- Managing inventory and maintaining accurate records of sales and deliveries.
- Resolving customer complaints and issues in a professional manner.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding sales, safety, and compliance.
- Driving safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and company guidelines.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the sales manager.
- Keep detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward sales goals.
- Ability to travel overnight 2-4 nights per month.
- Identify and research potential leads through various channels including cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or route delivery preferred but not required.
- Previous experience or background with Industrial Supplies or a Mechanical Aptitude preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile devices or tablets.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and work in various weather conditions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Products, especially Microsoft Excel.
Working Conditions :
- This position requires frequent driving and physical activity.
- Work hours typically follow a regular schedule, but flexibility is needed based on customer demand.
