AtkinsRealis is looking for a Structural Bridge Engineer to work on a variety of transportation related structural engineering projects across the US from one of our hub offices in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, or Tampa

CFX SR 414 Expressway, which is a estimated $365 million 54-span elevated viaduct in Maitland, FL. The piers will utilized psuedo match-cast overhang wings post-tensioned to a cast-in-place column.

The maximum span is 300' and the structures is over 9000' long.

Broad Causeway Drawbridge Replacement, which is a $180 million high-level fixed water crossing over the Intercostal Waterway near Miami, FL.

I-70 FLOYD HILL - If you have ever skied the slopes west of Denver, you likely know the dangerous stretch of Interstate known as Floyd Hill.

Our team will design approximately 6 miles to flatten the curves, reduce steep grade, and add lanes. Atkins was selected for this $560 million CMGC with segmental concrete bridges.

How will you contribute to the team?

Assists in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings. May supervise the production of these drawings.

Carries out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.

• Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
• Prepares assigned sections of reports working under the close review of a more experienced professional.
• Participates on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with easily interpreted specifications;

assists in recordkeeping and in generating progress reports; observes relatively simple construction procedures, and collects samples for quality control testing.

• Performs data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and / or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
• Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outline, and / or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.
• Performs engineering calculations.
• Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

• BS or MS in Civil and / or Structural Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• EIT Required.
• PE is a plus.
• DOT experience is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills.
