Job Description :
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs to develop personalized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Help patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance functional performance.
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive equipment and techniques to facilitate independence.
- Evaluate and document patients' progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Education and Certification Requirements :
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
