This position reports directly to the Q & A. This position is responsible for scheduling all incoming work into the fleet maintenance program.
Initiating repair orders, closing work orders, entering data in the fleet data base system (Faster) as well as coordinating work sent out to vendors, responding to inquires as well as notification of completed work.
This position will also at times research documents as related to various equipment and service cycles. Applicant must have excellent communication skills as well as being proficient in MS Word, Excel, and the Fleet Management software (Faster).
Will assist as needed the fleet department in all aspects to ensure quality service is provided to the fleet maintenance department.
Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.
Additional compensation based on licensure.

Generate work-orders for all incoming work either scheduled and / or unscheduled work.
Provide updates from vendors on completion time of equipment / vehicles
Generate, update and close work orders utilizing the Faster System.
Ability to multi-task, ability to follow-up and see issues through to completion.
Ability to accurately log information, maintain fleet records, and generate reports.
Must be able to accurately maintain detailed schedules and communicate scheduled dates with respective departments. Follow up with department's inquiring into the satisfaction of work performed.
Act as point of contact with County employees, ability to obtain correct information from the customer, interpret industry terminology, and determine wants and needs.
Knowledgeable in fleet related parts and services, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Maintain the foreman's agenda, which would include receiving phone calls as well as providing various reporting data.
Provide support to department and perform other duties as may be necessary.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
High School Diploma and / or GED.
Proficient in MS-Computer programs, Word. Excel. A certificate of training in any of the MS areas is a plus!
Knowledgeable in fleet related parts and services.
Minimum (3) three years' experience in a shop environment, preferably in a dealer base network. Experienced with fleet management systems (Faster is a plus) and knowledge of parts and service.
ASE certified in C-1 is a plus
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License (class B-CDL is preferred)
All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings.
Department Specific trainings per position may be required.
