The Cinema for Peace Foundation is looking for a Manager to join the Cinema for Peace team in Los Angeles.
Since 9 / 11, 2001 the Cinema for Peace initiative has been aiming to influence through films the perception and resolution of global social, political, and humanitarian challenges of our time - and especially to oppose war and terror.
In recent years, Cinema for Peace has supported a number of important causes and films with artists like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and personalities such as the Dalai Lama, Muhammad Ali, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, and the former Honorary Patron Nelson Mandela.
Responsibilities :
- General administration of the organization including preparation of reports, and online and offline filing.
- Work with the senior management in capacity building of the organization.
- Oversee and support the execution of projects and ensure budgets are on track and results are achieved.
- Support the conception of new projects as well as the preparation of concept notes, project proposals, strategies, programs, and yearly plans.
- Oversee articles and social media posts.
- Support the preparation of annual reports and budgets.
- Fundraising for Cinema for Peace projects through various measures including institutional funds, Non-Governmental Organizations, and Private Donors.
- Liaise with existing partners and donors in building stability of relationships, as well as identify and bring new donors and partners for the organization.
- Liaise with potential partner organizations, charity organizations, as well as high-ranking individuals from governments and ICSOs to explore possibilities of cooperation and synergy in projects.
Requirements :
- Educational Qualifications in the field of Film, Human Rights, International Relations, or related fields
- Experience managing a team
- Strong knowledge of films, the film industry as well as global sociopolitical issues
- Experience managing, drafting, and controlling budgets
- Experience raising funds and managing projects in an international NGO, CSO, or cultural organization
