GEOINT Systems Engineer Staff

As a Solvarus team member, you will serve as a Systems Engineer providing end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services to a National Customer.

Duties include : This position requires expertise in NITF imagery standards and specification documentation, and the ability to evaluate technical aspects of imagery products and determine the appropriate NITF updates required.

Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) and Engineering working groups that will review and assess the maturity of engineering Artifacts, CONOPS, Interfaces, and Architecture products.

Assist with the Identification of Enterprise and System risks for elevation through the Risk Management (RM) process, executing risk mitigation steps, and closing risks.

Provide project management support with short turn-around projects; development of requirements, project plans, needs assessment, and transition planning.

Identify integration issues and coordinate resolution Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs). Provide technical assessment of engineering change requests and provide recommendations for engineering change management process.

Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decision-makers.

Qualifications : Requires 12-15 years with BS / BA or 10-13 years with MS / MA or 10+ years with PhD. Current and Active TS / SCI w / Polygraph.

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or related STEM degree program.

Expertise in NITF imagery standard and specifications. Ability to evaluate technical aspects of imagery products to determine appropriate NITF standard / specification updates required to support the product characteristics.

Be a self-starter requiring minimal oversight to complete tasks in a timely manner. Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.

Integration and closure experience within overall customer domain. Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing / analyzing alternatives.

Ability to operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority. Demonstrated systems engineering process knowledge.

Proven communication skills. Desired Skills : Familiarity with direct IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of systems, including sensor knowledge.
