Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering graduates with 0-1 years of experience to join our Structures team in our Pleasanton office in 2024!
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
- Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for structural projects focusing on new buildings, rehabilitation and repair of existing buildings, PV systems, and site structures.
- Assist with preparation of detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective structural solutions that meet project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for modifications, repairs, and retrofits.
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using advanced software tools to evaluate the behavior and performance of structures under various load conditions.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Analysts will learn the latest industry trends, codes, and standards related to vertical structures, and incorporate them into project designs
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
- Analysts will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines : AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and / or GIS.

An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2024 in one of the following majors : Civil and / or Environmental EngineeringMechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural EngineeringEngineering Technology
Salary Range : $87,500 to $91,000
