Facilities Care Specialist
Facilities Care Specialists are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and presentable facility at Minneapolis Bouldering Project.
Facilities Care Specialist employees are an integral part of the in-house management and maintenance of the built environment at each local facility and are primarily responsible for the cleanliness of the facility.
These staff members have a direct impact on the experience of every individual that walks through the door, from a first impression of the space to a lasting experience, these staff help to create a welcoming and healthy environment.
General Responsibilities
CLEANING AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE
Works with the maintenance team and other staff to perform regular cleaning duties including but not limited to vacuuming climbing mats, mopping concrete floors, dusting required areas, regular cleaning of restroom areas, cleaning and sanitizing fitness equipment, and ensuring that all custodial related assignments are completed as
assigned by the Facilities Manager
- Maintains a clean, organized, and presentable facility and retail area for members and guests
- Maintains and cleans facility grounds and building as needed
- Performs regular bathroom and facility walkthroughs, immediately remedying instances in need of attention
- Follows opening and closing cleaning and facility procedures
- Performs basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Actively responds to customer needs, membership and event questions, inquiries, and feedback
- Provide customers with product, membership, and event information as needed
- Engages with customers, providing assistance with climbing, orientation, and facility offerings
FACILITY SAFETY AND INCIDENT RESPONSE
- Ensures the safety of staff and customers via regular safety walkthroughs
- Responds to accidents and incidents following the Safety Manual and Protocol
- Administers first aid in accordance with Safety Manual and BP Protocol
- Documents incidents through incident report log
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Many duties require the availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Events, including possible evenings and weekends.
- Duties may occur before and after regular business hours depending on business needs
- Standard schedule expected to be 15 hours per week for three 5 hour shifts to handle scheduled cleaning during low volume business hours
