Senior Data Solutions AnalystACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

Senior Data Solutions Analyst will support a suite of data centric applications for multiple business areas through detailed understanding of internal systems and departmental business workflow.

Position will provide technical administration and coordinate support, maintenance, and development. Candidate will provide project leadership through the development lifecycle, coordinate testing and change control as well as implementation support for all data applications and associated processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Analyzes, develops, and writes functional specifications for complex application systems supporting Credit Union business processes.
• Researches and analyzes application systems to develop an understanding of internal and / or external customer business requirements.
• Performs as a subject matter expert for at least two major Credit Union system (examples include but are not limited to the core financial systems, Internet Mobile Banking, lending applications, mortgage origination system, front-end applications, Enterprise Content Management, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Assists in the research and design of tactical and strategic system solutions for business process, automation, and / or efficiency opportunities.
• Performs as a subject matter expert and assist in the cross-training of application and interfaces with department peers.
• Discusses and evaluates new proposals with the user departments.
• Provides third tier problem resolution assistance for system deficiencies or errors and coordinates the diagnosis and resolution.
• Develops and maintains enterprise processes to support reporting initiatives including loading of data and preparing visualizations using Power BI.
• Closely works with the Database Administrator building SQL scripts, maintaining application databases and recovery processes and activities to support automation.
• Develops testing requirements for applications programs and assists in change management controls of the production environment.
• Investigates, implements, and maintains correction and lead recovery processes and activities for data applications.
• There are periods when extended hours are required to meet deadlines, and when analyst will be on call for system problems encountered at any time;

24 hour per day, 7 day per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Four-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience).

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years project management, software implementation, data management, testing, system design and / or credit union-related systems
• Held significant roles in large-scale project implementations that utilized a formal project management methodology
• Experience in internet banking technologies with strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret ongoing business practices to develop beneficial interaction with membership to enhance the on-line experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and apply common data development requirements and design criteria.
• Knowledgeable of project methodology, documentation, and management practices for large-scale project implementations.
• Demonstrates the use of standard MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and current Microsoft operating systems at a level that increases productivity and work product quality.
• Familiarity with standard application software development tools / techniques for database development and reporting tools. (SSRS, PowerBI)
• Advanced use of data query tools for the use of data analytics
• Knowledge of financial institution tools and systems preferred (core, loan origination, consumer lending, internet banking, document imaging)
• Possess technical data analysis skills
• Demonstrates professionalism through polished oral, written and presentation skills
