Materials Engineer

Responsibilities : Conduct materials characterization, testing, and analysis using a variety of techniques, including microscopy, spectroscopy, mechanical testing, and thermal analysis.

Evaluate material properties, performance, and behavior to understand their suitability for specific applications and environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify materials requirements and specifications for new products and applications.

Research and develop new materials formulations and processing techniques to meet project objectives and performance targets.

Optimize material properties through process improvements, formulation adjustments, and materials selection to enhance performance and functionality.

Design and conduct experiments to validate materials performance and reliability under different conditions and environments.

Analyze and interpret experimental data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings to internal teams and external partners.

Stay informed about developments and trends in materials science and engineering, and contribute to the advancement of materials knowledge within the organization.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for materials testing and evaluation. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Master's or Ph.D. preferred.3+ years of experience in materials engineering, materials science, or related field, preferably in a research and development or product development environment.

Strong knowledge of materials characterization techniques, including microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing.Experience with materials selection, development, and optimization for specific applications and performance requirements.

Proficiency in materials analysis and interpretation of experimental data.Familiarity with materials processing techniques, such as casting, forming, machining, and additive manufacturing.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Experience with materials modeling and simulation software is a plus.
