Senior Financial Analyst Merch Finance
We are currently looking for highly motivated, customer obsessed, and results oriented Senior Financial Analysts to join our finance organization supporting the Nordstrom Merchandising Group open roles are described below.
These individuals will be responsible for proactively driving results in close partnership with the business including by building financial models to support near-term forecasts and long-term planning as well as by providing insights on key drivers of business performance.
These are hybrid roles in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work at the Nordstrom downtown Seattle office a minimum of 3 days / week to be considered for these roles.
A day in the life
- Lead processes for supporting activities and analysis related to weekly, monthly, quarterly performance and forecasts, as well as annual and long-term plans
- Use a variety of data sources and KPIs to enhance and build detailed financial models that support financial plans and provide insights into past performance and / or future trends
- Partner with multiple cross-functional teams in planning and analyzing the business to drive action and improve future outcomes
- Effectively discuss tradeoffs, benefits, and the prioritization of various approaches with business leaders
- Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned, and clearly communicate findings to support leadership decisions
You own this if you have
- 3+ years of related experience
- BA / BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience in analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance, with a strong sense of curiosity
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines
- Excellent computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Anaplan, Tableau, and SQL a plus
- Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
