Job Description Summary
The purpose of this job is to develop, teach, and coordinate programs to assist others in learning new computer skills. Assesses training needs, records and documents credits earned, and assists IT helpdesk with learning / training-related questions.

- Administers production and implementation of all articulations of IT training to maintain and improve upon an IT-knowledgeable workforce.
- Establishes and communicates clear objectives for lessons. Adapts IT training process through differentiated instruction to accommodate disparate learning styles and promote greater IT retention and literacy.
- Cultivates ongoing comprehension and proficiency of evolving technology standards.
- Exhibits and promotes a positive and professional demeanor toward all city employees, affiliates, and the public.
- Develops and analyzes training evaluation metrics and related data.
- Collaborates with the Helpdesk regarding training-related IT requests.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory authority. Work does require providing guidance and training to others.

Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience.
Licenses or Certifications
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position Knowledge of :
- MS Office Suite, Google GSuite, and Windows Operating Systems.
- Teaching strategies and techniques.
- Principles of classroom instruction, professional development training, and curriculum design.
- Basic business English usage, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

- Communicating verbally and in writing to meet the needs of the audience.
