The Director of Nursing managesthe financial and clinical operations of assigned area(s) andrecommends qualified competent persons to provide care.
Integratesdepartment services with the hospital s primary function.Coordinates and integrates services within departments.
Developsand implements policies and procedures that guide and supportprovisions of services. Supervises nursing staff and assures staffcompetency.
Develops markets implements and evaluates new servicesand programs. Participates in outside source selection for neededservices.
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies. Provides fororientation inservice training and continuing education for personsin the department.
Assumes the duties of the Associate NursingExecutive or Administrative Coordinator asassigned.
What qualifications you willneed
- Graduatefrom accredited school of nursing Bachelor of Science degreerequired. Masters preparedpreferred.
- Currentlylicensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) ofpractice and / or has an active compact license in accordance withlaw andregulation.
- Certificationin area of specialtypreferred.
- BLSrequired and maintained. ACLSoptional.
- Five(5) years of current clinical nursing experiencerequired.
- Two(2) years of experience as a Supervisor Charge Nurse or ClinicalManagerrequired.
