- Provide leadership and direction to the medical-surgical unit, including staff management, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards within the medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among staff members.
- Manage budgetary resources and optimize operational efficiency within the medical-surgical unit.
- Serve as a liaison between the medical-surgical unit and other departments within the healthcare facility.
Candidate requirements
- Accredited Nursing Degree, Bachelor of Science Degree, currently licensed in the relevant state, BLS.
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience, 2 years experience as a supervisor, charge nurse, or clinical manager.
- Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in evidence-based nursing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Commitment to promoting a culture of patient-centered care and staff satisfaction.
