This position will cover the United States from Missouri to the Northwest US. It will also involve traveling to Western Canada.

OVERVIEW : The regional clinical consultant functions within the Savaria Academy team. This role consists of communicating the clinical value of the Savaria patient handling portfolio to customers.

The core focus of the role is to provide clinical methods, functionality, and expertise that enhances clinical and financial outcomes for customers, their caregivers, and patients while increasing revenue within assigned accounts.

This position requires creativity and the ability to collaborate with multiple team members to assure customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Clinical consultation : Provide consulting for patient product placement as needed. Develops expertise in assessing and using ergonomic aids to reduce injuries in healthcare staff with a focus on techniques and aids to increase patient mobility.

Lead in-servicing for pre- and post-conversion of key accounts and projects as designated by sales. Promote entire product line to new customers supporting Savaria's brand promise of a complete solutions-based patient handling equipment provider and wound care prevention.

Achieve revenue targets across clinical product portfolio : strategize with sales and marketing to achieve assigned revenue targets;

develop clinical components of the customer strategy; enhance outcomes and proving the clinical value of the portfolio.

Clinical program development : support and drive evidence-based clinical outcomes in targeted accounts as defined by sales by developing and implementing clinical protocols and processes for priority accounts.

Provide continuing education programs, develop clinical programming around mobility and safe patient handling; wound care and pressure management programs.

Clinical core competency development : Maintain clinical expertise as a core competency and share expertise with others to enhance clinical benefit from our people / process and technology;

stay abreast of current healthcare trends, technology, national / local laws, as well as regulations and guidelines related to patient handling.

  • Work with academy team to develop patient care courses to include videos, documents, and any other tools to optimize clinical solutions.
  • Influence policies and education with associations and key opinion leaders.
  • Travel as required to manage customers and to attend regional / national meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of attendees.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING :

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) preferred
  • PT, PTA, OT, RN, NP, or RPN strongly preferred
  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of patient care experience
  • Healthcare and / or medical device experience preferred
  • Experience training / educating healthcare personnel on product use
  • Understands principles of ergonomics and / or risk management
  • Excellent formal presentation skills
  • Strong collaboration, verbal & written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

COMPUTER SKILLS :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
  • Sales Force CRM would be an asset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.

Employee must be able to occasionally lift push. pull and or move up to 50l bs.

TRAVEL :

This position requires travel domestically and occasionally international

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

This position works in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
