POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Administrative Director for Research reports to the Department Chair and is responsible for setting goals, planning operations, and administering educational and research programs.
This role involves strategic leadership and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee grant management activities and clinical research compliance
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of operations, capital, and staffing expenditures
Prepare financial reports, projections, and forecasts for all funding
Ensure timely budget submission in compliance with Medical School guidelines and monitor, report and address budget variances
Develop business plans for new and proposed programs
Collaborate with leadership to implement new initiatives
Supervise central administrative staff
Ensure timely annual staff performance evaluations and up-to-date job descriptions
Participate in recruitment processes, providing input on packages and space allocation
Coordinate with facilities management on renovation and construction projects
Create administrative plans supporting overall departmental goals
Coordinate strategic planning processes
Assist in formulating departmental strategic plans
QUALIFICATIONS
A BA / BS in business administration or other related field is required. Masters degree, strongly preferred.
Minimum 5-7years prior related experience required.
Demonstrated effective leadership abilities
Experience supervising administrative and support personnel, preferably in an academic health center
Ability to apply initiative, judgment, and creativity to resolve complex issues.
Proven ability to form collaborative, effective relationships with faculty, staff and students

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is listed below and dependent on academic rank.

USD $175,000.00 / Yr.
Maximum Salary Range
USD $195,000.00 / Yr.
