POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a Field Service Technician based in Charlotte, NC. This position will be responsible for the install and service of a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
HIRING SALARY RANGE : $20-$35 / hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

$3,000 Sign-on Bonus (candidates with a current AAADM certification are eligible)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Install dormakaba equipment in commercial buildings
- Perform corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of automated access doors and equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Valid current driver’s license
- Mechanical knowledge, 3+ years of relevant experience
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Physical requirements, including : ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, stand, stoop, crawl, twist, bend, push, pull, climb, and work overhead
WHAT WE PREFER
- Electrical license or knowledge of basic electronics and electrical theory, principles of microprocessor-controlled equipment and multi-meter instruments
- 2+ years’ experience as an automatic door installer or service technician
- AAADM certification
