VFI seeks an experienced, professional Desktop Support Technician Level III for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services.
Note : All candidates must possess an active DoD Secret clearance
Location : Homestead ARB, Homestead, FL
Schedule : Monday - Friday, weekends as needed
Travel : Minimal, less than 10%
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
- Performs configurations, installations, diagnostics, upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance of personal computer products and peripherals.
- May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and / or applications development to restore service and / or identify and correct core problem.
- Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
- Maintains currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise.
Requirements and Qualifications :
- At least five (5) years of Experience as a desktop support technician.
- Possess or obtain IAT Level II certification.
- Capabilities needed to deliver in-person and remote IT aid.
- Fantastic installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilities.
- Excellent vertical and lateral thinking.
- Superb time management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
