A Manufacturing Engineer responsible for directing the manufacturing activities for large scale jobs and programs from inception to shipment.
Required :
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing of custom equipment.
- Gauge experience required, specifically in static, backlash gauge, and pinion preload. End of line test gauge experience a plus.
Job Responsibilities :
- Works closely with Design and Program Management teams to implement lessons learned and best practices as experience allows.
- Learns and becomes systems expert to be able to guide manufacturing activities with knowledge of the equipment and scope of work and schedule.
- Works closely with Program Management to monitor progress against milestone dates.
- Aids in troubleshooting and assists build team in documenting open issues and following thru on issue resolution with all departments.
- Sets the schedule based on order of importance for resolution of open issues and directs activities accordingly on build floor and coordinates efforts with Design and PM group as needed.
- Determines machine readiness, trials parts in machines as soon as possible, checks tooling fits as tooling and parts become available, identifies if machine is mechanically sound and ready for program.

Once the machine is programmed ensures the machines cycle and build and are properly exercised prior to runoff. Also ensures the machine meets all required criteria prior to runoff.

- Leads any necessary part builds, coordinates with customer and PM to determine parts inventory available and leads the build activity on the company side as coordinated with the PM.

Salary Range : $100,000 / yr. - $150,000 / yr. DOE
