POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the Area Director of Psychology’s supervision, the Psychotherapy Services Program Director provides and supervises treatment services according to the Nexus Health Systems Model to patients and their families.
They provide and supervise psychotherapy services for individuals, families, and groups in the True North program. Works within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and quality service for children and adolescents with medical and psychiatric conditions.
JOB-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Facilitates weekly clinical team meetings to ensure consistent and effective communication, including proper oversight of patient progress, and to ensure a team approach is utilized.
- Trains all new clinical employees within their scope and coordinates training with clinical team members.
- Maintains a patient caseload as dictated by census and assigns cases based upon the appropriate clinical match with each therapist.
- Leads or co-leads groups weekly as dictated by census and clinical need. Provides oversight of all groups and ongoing development of group curriculum.
- Mentors all therapists within the program and provides clinical consultation and individual and family therapy supervision.
- Ensures supervises remain current on documentation and supporting clinical activities and interventions.
- Complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, and other required information.
- Develop and oversee the treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapies, clinical experience, and patient histories.
- Review and evaluate patients' progress using measurable goals and metrics described in treatment and care plans.
- Coordinates with the multidisciplinary team and other department leaders to develop a master treatment plan.
- Attend and facilitate training sessions to increase knowledge and skills.
- Participate in treatment planning and staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION :
Master’s degree in psychology or social work required.
EXPERIENCE :
- Experience in treating children and adolescents with a history of trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders
- Strong background in healthcare and inpatient or residential treatment settings
- 3-5 years of direct patient care experience
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :
- LCSW-S
- Must be certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention-Crisis Prevention Intervention (SAMA or other Nexus-Approved training) or obtain the following employment
- Must maintain current certification in good standing during employment with this facility
