Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Software Engineering Manager (Channels) to join our Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) Technology team based in the US.

A role you will love
As the Software Engineering Manager (Channels), you'll manage an excellent team of individual contributor engineers, technical analysts, quality engineers and technical leads for the Corporate Trust Digital Channels application portfolio.
You'll also :
- Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
- Identify and recommend opportunities for developing product functional and technical strategies for the domains, as well as the development of actionable short and long-term product roadmaps, by partnering with business product managers, lead systems architects, and more experienced engineers
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding strategic products of engineering teams to meet business objectives
- Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities
- Interpret and develop security, stability, and scalability within key areas of technology risk
- Collaborate and consult with agile teams and product managers to drive outcomes
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architect teams on application design and solutions
- Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for technology engineering
- Engage in leadership, mentoring, coaching and guiding the professional and technical development of your team and assist in hiring talent
- Focus on ensuring that there is a clearly defined progression plan for ambitious and high potential individuals within the development team, and ensuring that the team is challenged, motivated and harmonized
What will you bring to the role?
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience with responsibility for technology strategy, execution, and application support
- 2+ years of software engineering people management experience
- 2+ years of experience with agile delivery
- 2+ years of experience with externally facing applications for client service needs
- Strong knowledge in Java application design and development
Bonus points if you have :
- Transformative mindset with understanding of application integration, microservices and resiliency design principles
- Proven experience architecting and building medium to large scale distributed systems
- Experience in building product road maps and technology target state architecture
- Experience in providing strategic direction, roadmap and vision to product teams
- Proven experience utilizing SDLC tools such as Git, ADO, Jira, etc.
- Experience in public, private or hybrid cloud migration such as Azure or OpenShift
- Strong understanding of Agile engineering practices
- Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
- Domain expertise in Financial Technology Services
- Java, Spring, SQL, Oracle, SQL Server experience
