For more information, please visit us at : Position Summary : The Medical Records Analyst is responsible for carrying out the activities of the Health Information Services Department in the maintenance of all patient health information.

Applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval and analysis and claims processing.

Provides departmental coverage as necessary, in the absence of the HIM Director. Minimum of successful completion of a coding certificate program, preferred. Experience : Previous experience in health information management and direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred.

Work experience as a coder or strong training background in coding and reimbursement preferred. Licensure / Certification : RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CPC-HP preferred.
