Seeking one or two canidates for a live-in case in Norfolk, VA. One caregiver will stay there 7 days a week and take time off as needed or requested.
Or the case can be shared between 2 caregivers. One caregiver would take 3 days and the other 4 days. A live-in caregiver literally "lives" with the family to provide care for the client.
The caregiver gets paid a daily rate and is accomodated with a comfortable living space (their own room) and gets to sleep at night.
The caregiver is provided meals with the exception of any special foods she enjoys on her own. The caregiver will have breaks throughout the day.
This position requires full-time, 7 days per week (Monday through Sunday), live-in care for an elderly gentleman suffering from advanced stages of COPD and Emphysima.
He is in his 80's, and although he is on hospice, he continues to actively work from home as a lawyer. He is able to assist with his care needs at this time This is a high priority case requiring daily care from a knowledgeable, dependable, personable, and patient caregiver.
Knowledge of, and experience with, oxygen is a required. The care needs for this client will increase as he declines, so experience with "end stages" of care is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..
ALL applicants MUST have their own, reliable, means of transportation.
