We are currently seeking a BPO HC & Insurance Ops Senior Specialist to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska (US-NE), United States (US).
Job Title : BPO HC & Insurance Ops Senior Specialist (Multi-level Underwriters)
This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally required benefits.
Salary range is $60,000- $100,000 / Yearly based on experience levels. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm CST.
Schedules are subject to change to meet business needs.
MUST LIVE IN CONTINENTAL USA FOR THIS REMOTE ROLE AND BE WILLING TO TRAVEL WITHIN THAT, QUARTERLY.
Basic Qualifications :
- 3 years experience with performing underwriting, reviewing medical records / Insurance policy documentation and with working with life insurance customers and agents
- 3 years Microsoft Office Suite along with underwriting systems
- High School or Post Secondary Graduate
- Charter Life Underwriter Certification (CLU) preferred if possible
Responsibilities :
- Primary Senior Underwriter role will be to provide accurate and timely risk assessment and evaluation of life applications, renewals, or cancellations utilizing the Company's underwriting policies, guidelines, medical, non-medical and financial factors to determine appropriate ratings.
- Operate efficiently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- This senior level incumbent will manage more complex cases and large face amounts, while interacting with field personnel, and supporting other more junior underwriters.
- Provide superior customer service to the distribution channel agents and agency
- Secondary review and signature for less experienced underwriters
- Conduct underwriting audits as needed
- Work on underwriting related projects as assigned
- Contribute to the building and maintaining of strong relationships within the organization
- Maintain an awareness of changing practices and regulations
- Able to serve as subject matter expert to provide input on department procedures or practices
- May serve as a mentor to less experienced underwriters Strong communication skills, empathy and listen skills required Intuitive problem solver, who demonstrates sound judgement and independent thinking
New hire must have a working device (such as cell phone or tablet) for the 2-Factor Authentication process.
All new hires will be required to successfully complete our Call Center training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material.
Must Pass a background check with Education check and employment verification check.
