We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant based in Florham Park, New Jersey, United States.
This role is within the pharmaceutical industry and requires a presence in the office. The position involves a variety of accounting duties, such as processing invoices, data entry, and assisting with ad hoc projects.
Responsibilities :
- Efficiently manage accounts payable tasks, maintaining a smooth flow of financial operations.
- Regularly process invoices, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment.
- Handle accounts receivable duties, monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.
- Perform data entry tasks, updating and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for v-lookups and pivot tables to analyze financial data.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as directed, providing analytical support and insight.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, contributing positively to the team dynamic.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting procedures related to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledgeable in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experienced in Bank Reconciliations
- Ability to perform Ad Hoc Analysis
- Skilled in Data Entry
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with accounting software and systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
