Overview :
Works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment in their assigned area is kept in top running condition .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing maintenance services through the refinery.
- Performs mechanical trouble shooting and repairs.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance services, including; troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding / burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
- Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
- Work with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
- Will be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include : refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe / metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.
- Reliable and Predictable In-Person Attendance
- Able to work overtime on a daily and weekly basis
Job Requirements
- Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
- Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
- Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses / goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.
Education and / or Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization. Hourly Rate :
