Global DevOps Leader

We're seeking an exceptional DevOps Leader to join our team at Bybit.

The role can be based in Dubai (our global headquarter), Hong Kong, Singapore or Malaysia.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic DevOps Leader to head our SRE / Platform development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in platform development, site reliability engineering, operations automation, and cloud-native technologies.

This role demands strong leadership to drive efficiency, ensure stability, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Platform Development and Efficiency :

• Oversee the development and optimization of platforms that enhance company efficiency, including monitoring systems, CI / CD pipelines, and development / testing environments.
• Implement and maintain tools that support development and operational processes, driving automation and efficiency.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Operations :

• Lead the SRE and operations teams, including DBAs, to ensure the stability and efficiency of our operations architecture and systems.
• Implement robust operations architectures and systems to guarantee high availability and performance.
• Focus on operations automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Containerization and Cloud-Native Technologies :

• Leverage extensive experience in containerization and cloud-native technologies to modernize and optimize our infrastructure.
• Implement best practices for container orchestration and cloud-native architectures to enhance scalability and reliability.

Storage and Big Data Systems :

• Design and maintain high-availability architecture and planning for the company's storage and big data systems.
• Build and maintain the operations framework for storage systems, quantify service quality, and establish data-driven cost optimization metrics.

Top Requirements :

Extensive Experience in Leading Large-Scale DevOps Teams :

• Proven track record in leading large-scale DevOps initiatives in leading Internet companies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize platform development, monitoring, CI / CD pipelines, and development / testing environments.

Problem-Solving Expertise :

• Extensive experience in identifying and solving operational stability and efficiency issues.
• Demonstrated success in resolving similar challenges across different companies.

Technical Proficiency :

• Solid foundation in computer software and distributed systems principles. Familiar with Linux, and proficient in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark, Zookeeper, and implementing and managing large-scale infrastructure automation platforms.

Cloud-Native and Containerization Expertise :

• In-depth knowledge and experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native technologies.
• Proven ability to implement and manage container orchestration and cloud-native infrastructures effectively.

Leadership and Communication :

• Strong leadership skills to drive projects across different disciplines and business units.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese to effectively engage with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
