As a Field Sales Engineer III- Remote - West with PCB Piezotronics, Inc, you will generate revenue opportunities by developing key markets and cultivating long-term relationships with customer contacts.
Provides general sales support, phone coverage, as well as repair and quotation follow up. Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to "Total Customer Satisfaction" among team members.
This territory will be in the Northern California / Pacific Northwest territory in the USA and the candidate would ideally reside within that territory or in Phoenix, AZ.
The salary range reflected does not include commission earned potential.
Additional Duties :
- Communicates on a regular basis with all appropriate supervisor & management staff.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Executes business plan for assigned territory.
- Generates new business leads, follows up on marketing campaigns and sets up qualified appointments with prospects.
- Keeps all account and prospect information timely and up-to-date in system for prospect / client / sales tracking purposes.
- Meets assigned sales quota in region / territory.
- Assists with human resource objectives for regions staff by recruiting, selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees in assigned territories;
- communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions;
enforcing policies and procedures, recommend promotions, and reorganize the territories as necessary
- Direct the business for all staff with the objective of providing maximum profit and return on invested capital, establishing current and long-range objectives, plans and budgets and develops action plans as needed to ensure success
- Provide for ongoing development of personnel with the market with a positive / supportive culture. Develop and implement training programs to enhance or correct deficiencies as needed.
- Develop strategies and innovations and prepare marketing budgets bases on knowledge of local market conditions.
- Provide monthly reports with current sales figures and forecast expected sales.
- Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers;
identifying new customer opportunities.
- Responds to a wide range of written and phone customer inquiries. Accepts and amends contracts. Provides feedback to the Sales Management Team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :
- Four-year degree or equivalent specialized training
- MBA or MS preferred.
Experience :
A minimum seven years of experience in the sensor and instrumentation field. Demonstrated multi-year success in consistently growing revenue in an assigned territory.
Prior experience managing people is preferred
Moderate computer skills including manufacturing operations information systems, ability to understand financial reports and statements, strong supervisory and delegation skills.
Ability to travel approximately 60-70% throughout the multi-state territory. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated and self-directed, results driven
