Your day-to-day as a Case Manager - Child & Adolescent Intensive Care Coordination

As an Intensive Care Coordination Case Manager at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will be at the forefront of providing crucial support to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance or Intellectual or Developmental Disability.

Your role will involve conducting thorough assessments, devising effective treatment plans, and coordinating services to meet the unique needs of each child.

What matters most

To excel as an Intensive Care Coordination Case Manager at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Services such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling and a valid driver's license.

Additionally, at least two years of hands-on experience delivering mental health care management services for children is essential.

Familiarity with the DSM V for diagnosing purposes is highly valued.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

The capacity to conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate services for children with diverse needs is vital to positively impacting this critical role.

The knowledge and skills required for the position are :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • Two (2) years of experience providing children's mental health care management services. Knowledge and experience with DSM V diagnosing preferred
  • Valid Drivers' License.
