Immediate need for billing clerk / data specialist in Tempe, AZ!
The Data Specialist will work closely with the Billing Department supporting maritime shipping and port related services.
They will manage high volumes of billing documentation for maintenance and other port or logistics-related services. The Data Specialist will be responsible for daily, weekly and month-end data transferring into various types of portals and applications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collecting and digitizing data such as invoices, work orders, and data logs. Entering and updating information into relevant databases.
Maintaining a detailed and organized storage system to ensure data entries are complete and accurate. Correcting errors and organizing the information in a manner that will optimize swift and accurate capturing.
Keeping a record of hard copy data such as invoices, inventory checklists, and other financial documents. Establishing data entry standards by continually updating filing systems to improve data quality.
Addressing data inconsistencies by cross- referencing original source documents, working with administrative staff to locate missing data and correcting discrepancies.
Attending to data queries and reporting any major data errors to management. Adhering to best data management practices and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency
