Responsibilities
Performs occupational therapy programs and treatments as directed by the occupational therapist for inpatient & outpatient adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
Provides employee and patient educational programs as directed. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy.
- Technical training in the use of occupational therapy equipment used in the inpatient and / or outpatient settings, per assigned job duties.
- Current certification in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.
- Must have 2 years of licensed clinical experience.
- Internal candidate must attain 3.25 PE (prior year) and no disciplinary action on file.
PREFERRED
Has current knowledge of orthopedics, neurology, and medical / surgical problems associated with the adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
Work Hours : 9 : 00-5 : 30pm
9 : 00-5 : 30pm
