Unit Specifics :
- Number of Beds : 35
- Patient Ratios : 5-7 : 1
- Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Techs per census, usually 2-4
- Type of equipment : Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanner
- Documentation system : Meditech
- Scheduling requirements : 12 hr shifts, every other weekend
- Floating policy : may be floated to other Med Surg depts.
- Patient Experience requirements : Rehab experience preferred
Hiring Profile
Must have :
- Med / Surg or PCU experience
- BLS and VA License
Preferred :
Rehab experience
Advanced skills needed : none
Procedures performed on unit : Med administration to include IVs, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration
Dress Code :
Navy blue or white solid scrubs
