Job Description :
We are seeking a well-rounded, highly motivated litigation attorney with at least 5 years of experience for the Maryland Heights office of a local law firm.
The growing practice focuses on business, contracts, real estate, construction, and estate planning and litigation resulting from those areas.
Responsibilities :
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end.
- Work closely with other attorneys and support staff on legal projects.
- Drafting / reviewing / responding to discovery requests.
- Preparing and responding to motions and legal memoranda.
- Conducting and / or defending depositions.
- Court appearances.
- Meeting with clients, attorneys, and witnesses.
- Performing legal research.
Qualifications :
- 5 years’ experience.
- Admission to Missouri Bar.
- Admission to Illinois Bar.
- Proven ability to write and present well-reasoned legal arguments.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Self-starter who takes ownership of executing tasks.
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex caseload.
- Effective team player.
- Strong work ethic.
