Description :
- After 2 months of training, press helper will be expected to be able to hang 5-8 plates in 5 minutes or less
- Replenish water and ink fountains as needed
- Stack loads in appropriate form (box, skid, bindery cart)
- Open rolls & keep accurate paper work
- Hang paper rolls
- Communicate clearly problems to pressmen
- Assist & also be responsible for quality product
- Perform work other than that which is listed in this job description, to complete our regularly scheduled manufacturing process, as determined by your supervisor
- Oil & grease press as pressman specifies
- Help other pressmen when your press is down
- Learn to run presses (hang plates, set ink, set registers)
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements :
- 1-2 years printing or press experience (NOT DIGITAL!!)
- If they have machining background in general and know how to work on machines that will work
- Previous experience greasing and oiling machines
- Lock out tag out (safety steps)
