Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist :
- Process and submit insurance claims for reimbursement.
- Verify patient information, diagnoses, and treatment codes.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit when necessary.
- Review medical records to ensure precise coding and billing.
Requirements of the Medical Billing Specialist :
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification in medical billing and coding is preferred.
- Previous experience in medical billing is favorable.
- Proficient in medical terminology, billing software, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Shows exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Displays outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Salary :
