Position Summary :
This is a one-year temporary position.
The primary responsibility, as a Lecturer, is to teach 12credits each semester of undergraduate and / or graduate courses in theDepartment of Mathematical Sciences.
Teach courses in Mathematics, including Precalculus,Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, Probability, and others asassigned by the Department Chair.
Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to providetutoring and serve as a coordinator / assistant coordinator of some courses whenassigned, which involves the supervision and management of several sections ofa course.
Participate in course and program development, as required.Participate in student advising, events, and external outreach activities, asrequired.
Provide service to the department, university, and community, asrequired.
Essential Functions :
- Mustabide by the university's core values, which include excellence, integrity,civility, social responsibility, diversity and communication.
- Collegiate level teaching experience. Teach undergraduateand graduate courses.
Prerequisite Qualifications :
- Master'sDegree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experienceprerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to thesatisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education andexperience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with teaching both mathematics and statisticsclasses.
