Job Description
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for all of the distribution center’s departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and develop the warehouse management and supervision team. Able to motivate, influence, and train people.
- Proactively communicating, coaching and training the warehouse staff and all associates to increase the overall quality and performance of the distribution center.
- Take ownership of all customer orders regarding order accuracy and service performance.
- Labor, Metrics and KPI management.
- Warehouse housekeeping and organization folded into the daily operation.
- Accurate warehouse record keeping as it pertains to : Payroll, Overtime, Temp hours (when applicable), inventory transactions, maintaining inbound and outbound procedures, shipping systems and employee productivity.
- Warehouse safety and equipment operation
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the distribution of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.
- Analyzing delivery and inventory issues and providing solutions.
- Enhancing and controlling distribution in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications.
- Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating a safe and efficient working environment.
- Maintaining proper employment levels through selecting, interviewing, and training of personnel.
- High-level leadership and decision-making skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Manage between 25-30 managers, supervisors and associates.
Education / Experience Required :
Bachelor’s degree and fifteen or more years of warehouse management.
Computer Skills Necessary :
Microsoft Office, EDGE, Dematic and RF scanning equipment.
Physical Demands / Requirements :
Must be able to perform all physical demands of employees that he manages.
W ork Environment :
- Warehouse and office setting.
- Must have the ability to travel to visit vendors and customers when necessary.
